key elements - Providing KIAD students with an inspirational learning and supporting environment. Also a gateway to students' secure areas such as email and Blackboard.
my design role - Working with core departments within KIAD, my role was to research HEI's online resources, online student needs, department needs and student user behaviour. The research outcome enabled a site structure around the students' perception of information finding. Additional site navigation was put in place to cross-reference each of the main sections:

— advice & support
— life at KIAD
— leisure
— alumni support
It is worth mentioning that the departmental structure of the Institute required a 'student friendly' translation of terminology of the key support areas. These newly named main sections holding key support now deliver a 'fast find information service' to both home and international students - without the politics!
